Nick Masters, a passionate young pianist and composer, is one of the predominant up-and-coming artists to be heard in the Greater New York Area.  A native of Detroit, he is deeply rooted in the traditions of jazz music and culture, while still possessing a unique sound and modern approach. Masters has performed alongside jazz elders as well as young like-minded musicians in venues and clubs such as Smalls Jazz Club, Moore’s Lounge, Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola, Carnegie Hall, Riverview Jazz Festival, Nublu, Rue B, Cleopatra’s Needle, Tomi Jazz, Cliff Bell’s, Brightside Tavern, DLV Lounge, Rosebank Tavern, and the New Brunswick Jazz Projects Emerging Artist Series to name a few.

Nick’s Mission

“Playing for listeners in Detroit at an earlier age taught me what it means to connect with people musically. As a musician, I strive to make a positive impact on the community I play for, because the music I create is truly inspired by them. I have experienced the power of music first-hand, and want to use my gifts to show others what music can do for them.

As a performer, my mission is to bring people from all walks of life together for an experience that impacts each individual in a personal and positive way.”
